An active adventure, which is all, go right from day one. This trip explores the top of the South Island known for its sunshine, golden sandy beaches and its accessible mountain landscapes framed beautifully above farms, orchards and vineyards.
The two major highlights include:
- - A two day hike which summits the rocky karst summit of Mt Owen. Amazing views await. This is where a segment of Lord of the Rings was filmed.
- - The second two day hike through Kahurangi National Park featuring a breathtaking array of scenery from native forest, tussock lands , mountain tops and valleys.
Interspersed between these energetic and amazing days we take time to relax catch our breath and explore in other ways. Activities such as sea kayaking the golden beaches of Able Tasman National park, swimming with dolphins and white water rafting keep us more than busy. Buts it not all go, we also take time to relax with two visits to different natural hot springs, check out local vineyards in Nelson Bays and Marlborough and visit some fantastic and out of the way communities. Our most active trip requiring a moderate level of fitness, the ability to carry a backpack with gear for two days.
